Standard First Aid & CPR Courses
As a requirement for your Clinical Preparedness Permit (CPP) or Field Placement Clearance you are required to complete a Standard First Aid and CPR course. Your program requirements will outline which courses you are required to complete and how frequently you need to re-certify for each course. Proof of certification for both these courses will be required for your clearance.
Standard First Aid With Healthcare Provider CPR (SFA HCP CPR)
The Standard First Aid with Health Care Provider (HCP) CPR course is taught to the Ontario Regulation 1101 and ILCOR guidelines. This first aid course is a comprehensive two-day program. As required by regulation, this First Aid course covers cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the management of other breathing, airway and circulation emergencies, as well as the control of bleeding, treating shock, stabilizing fractures and dislocations, head and spine injuries, and more.
This course includes Health Care Provider CPR which covers skills such as 1 and 2-rescuer adult, child and infant CPR, choking, including the use of barrier device mask, bag valve mask (BVM), and the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED).

You will be sent a link to the online portion of the SFA course. Please complete the online course as soon as you receive the link. The course may take you 6-8 hours to complete and is self-paced. You will need an 80% pass and will be required to bring your online test results to the in-person training session. This online portion must be completed within 60 days in order to attend the "In-person practical training" which will take place on campus at the posted location.
Upon successful completion of both the online and practical components of our accredited Standard First Aid, CPR, and AED Program, participants will be issued a wallet certificate onsite by the instructor, affirming their certification. This certificate serves as a tangible recognition of your achievement and expertise in First Aid and is valid for 3 years.

Concise Health Solutions can also offer an on-site course on either Standard First Aid with HCP CPR or HCP CPR taught by a certified instructor.
